Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biologique
At the heart of the Biotech City of Laval, the Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biologique (AFSP) offers to the researchers of the INRS and their teams state-of-the-art laboratoires to fight against infectious diseases. Created in 1938 by Dr. Armand Frappier, under the name of the Institute of microbiology and hygiene of Montréal, this research centre has been pursuing the same objective since its inception: the prevention and the discovery of innovative solutions to public health concerns. In concert with its mission, the Centre Armand-Frappier is the only Canadian research establishment that is a member of the international network of the Institut Pasteur.
Research infrastructures
Multiple research infrastructures are located directly on the premises of the Centre Armand-Frappier Santé Biologique, offering their services to the members of the Infectiopole as well as to INRS researchers and staff.
